
Clara Brugada presented her 100 Days of Government Report, highlighting the continuity of the Gender Alert in Mexico City due to femicides, as well as the maintenance and future conclusions of works on the Metro. She focused on closing gaps of inequality in peripheral territories and announced the expansion of Ecobici to the 16 municipalities.
Regarding water, 500 million pesos will be invested to increase the capacity of the Cerro de la Estrella treatment plant to reach 3,800 liters per second. She also mentioned the creation of the C5 Water and the construction of affordable housing to combat gentrification. Additionally, the Public Care System will be implemented in all areas.
Emphasis was placed on the 59% reduction in high-impact crimes and the projected actions for female justice. A special prosecutor's office for animal protection was also announced, along with the construction of a new veterinary hospital and clinics in the city. The participation of local deputies in Brugada's project was also mentioned.
Strategies to reduce violence against women were detailed, and issues such as the perception of security, the fight against crimes, and the implementation of measures to improve mobility and video surveillance were addressed. Improvements in the Collective Transportation System were also announced, with the rehabilitation of Lines 3 and A. The Gender Alert will remain active as long as femicides persist in the city.
